Frequently Asked Questions

We have separated the main doubts about the procedures to make everything clear for you.

This is one of the most frequently asked questions! Many clients think Microblading is a tattoo, and I am here to clarify they are not the same. Microblading is semi-permanent and Tattoo is permanent, which requires a different tool.

The Microblading technique requires a very skilled artist precisely drawing each line vs. Eyebrow tattoo, in which the artist uses a machine.

Microblading hair strokes stay on the shallow layer of the skin and will fade over time (6-18 months) Brow tattoo ink goes deeper into the skinl & stays on much longer, but changes color over time. Microblading ink stays true to color while Tattoo changes color over time.

Microblading healing is much shorter (7 days) than tattoo (2 weeks). Immediately after the procedure, Microbladed brows experiences no downtime or “sharpie” brow look, very natural and hair-like, whereas tattooed brows can appear very dark and solid.

Many clients doze off and take a nap during the procedure! There will be continous numbing throughout the procedure. No pain at all for many, and a little stinging for some. We apply numbing cream before and during the procedure to ensure no pain is felt during the process.

Depends on your skin. The dryer it is, the longer longer it lasts, and vice versa. So anywhere between 6 to 18 months.

You should get a touch up 30 to 45 days after the procedure.

Because pigment is under the shallow layer of the skin, anything that encourages your skin to peel or regenerate new skin will make Microblading fade faster. Exfoliation, facial laser, retinol, sun exposure, tanning or anything that helps with skin regeneration are all factors that could lead to fading. Applying sunscreen over your brows is very important.

For previously Microbladed friends , it’s best to schedule an in-person free consultation or a FaceTime session to take a look to make sure we can deliver what you are looking for.

Microblading procedure is recommended to be done 1 month before/after your botox/laser treatment.

BROWS DAY 1 -2 day
Avoid washing your brows for 48 hrs
Apply healing cream provided in the aftercare kit.
Allow brows to DRY HEAL
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Brows may appear reddish and/or darker in color for the first week.  This is normal and temporary.
Flaking and peeling is normal during the healing process.  It is crucial not to pick at the flakes to prevent uneven pigment healing.
The tattoo may appear lighter after the dead skin comes off.  The color will return to the surface after this process.
Refrain from use of brow growth serum for 4 weeks after time of service.
Final results vary with each person, and will appear clearly 4 weeks after time of service.

LIPS DAY 1
Gently wash your lips with cold water
Pat lips with dry cotton rounds
Lips may appear swollen and feel tender - this is temporary and can last up to 48 hours.  Ice packs can be applied to lips to assist with swelling.
Avoid spicy food, alcoholic beverages, hot and colored liquids for the first 24 hours.  Eat all food with utensils and drink all liquids through a straw.

LIPS DAYS 2-5
Apply a thin layer of lip balm or A&D ointment provided in aftercare kit to keep lips hydrated, but not oversaturated with product.  Apply up to 4 times daily.
Continue to eat food with utensils and drink all liquids through a straw.

WHAT TO EXPECT:
Lips may appear darker in color for the first 24 hours.  This is normal and temporary.
Flaking and peeling is normal during the healing process.  It is crucial not to pick at the flakes to prevent uneven pigment healing.  A&D ointment provided in the aftercare kit can be used to minimize discomfort/itching during this time.

Lipstick/tint can  be applied to the lips after 5 days (once flaking has completed).
The tattoo may appear much lighter after the dead skin comes off.  The color will continue to change over the next 6 weeks (up to 10 weeks for melanin-rich lips), at which point the final color will finally “bloom” in the skin.  Final results vary with each person.
